E-Cig Correction and more random jumble..

Good afternoon friends!

I went to the mall today to ask why my e-cig didnt work. I was really having the cravings last night. Turns out, it was something stupid. Anyhow, I'm a happy camper today. I do have a correction to make...the website I was posting was wrong. If you'd like information about my e-cig and how I'm quitting..go to vitalvapers.com.

Today, I'm really feeling like I need church tomorrow. I'm not sure why, I just feel a little empty inside. I need to be uplifted. I am looking forward to it. We're having The Believers Quartet sing for us and having a lunch after. I pray my heart is full of His joy when I leave church in the morning. If you'd like to join us, visit our website at hillcrestsbc.com! We'd love to have you.

Also, I'd like to thank you for the prayers for my friend Lynn and her family. I just spoke with her and she made it to WV just fine. She said the roads were pretty clear and the only problem was heavy fog. She said she was "sitting on mama's front porch having coffee" and sounded like she was at peace. I hope to be able to make a trip to WV (its only 4 hours there, not too bad) for the service when its planned. Please continue to pray for this family. Lynn's father, Cecil, isnt well either. I feel like the loss of his wife (of almost 60 years) is going to make a huge impact and it saddens me. Thanks, again.

I'm off to clean up. I havent been "routine" today and need to get stuff done. I have lots of cooking and baking to do and a house to work on.

I hope everyone has a blessed weekend. Have a safe celebration of the Superbowl tomorrow also! :)

Day 3: Shame on me. :(

Day 3 is here. No smoking...well, not exactly. This is the hardest thing I've done in a long time. I woke up this morning feeling quite fuzzy-headed, dizzy and like my brain couldnt catch up to my eyes as I was looking around. I was slightly more tired than usual until I got up and moving. I was fighting the urge to go smoke a 'real' cigarette so hard. Around 10am, I gave in. I lit it like I had for the past 12 years and took one drag. GROSS! When I inhaled, the junk hit my lungs like a ton of bricks. My chest hurt. It tasted like I licked an ashtray. A few minutes later, I thought, let me try again. I lit another. GROSS, again. Above all this, you want to know what hurt the most? Guilt. What had I just done? I thought that couple real puffs wouldnt hurt me...and I'm glad it didnt work out between us because I couldnt imagine telling my husband (who's begged me to quit since we've been married..6 years!) that I started again. I thumped the cigarette to the road and left it there. So, I admit to weakness, but in a way I'm glad that I lit those two cigarettes...now I know that after 12 years, its not worth it. I think you just get used to the taste (wow, its nasty now!!) and the way it feels when the junk hits your lungs and after a while, its no big deal. Even after just 3 days, its a big deal to me. Lisa, my sister in law, has also quit. However, she's quit even the E-Cig. (Let me say again how proud I am of her and her husband for quitting...they're really the inspiration for me!) She was telling me this morning that when you smoke, the chemicals paralyze parts of your lungs called cilia (that might not be spelled right!) and those things are used to flush the crap from your lungs. So, when I analyzed it, that means that for 12 years my lungs havent been able to flush themselves. Yuck! I'm sure I'm at the beginning stages of withdrawls, which is normal, I just pray its not any worse than this. There is such a thing called "quitters flu"...and I know I dont want that. I'll take fuzziness anyday! :)

Thank you all for reading and for your encouragement here and on Facebook. I hope I can be an inspiration to other smokers to quit as my family has been to me. If you'd like details on the product I'm using to assist in quitting, go to http://www.smoke51.com/ or ask me and I'll gladly explain.

Have a great night. God Bless.

Its a hard habit to break...

...BUT THIS GIRL IS DOING IT! Some of you know, and some may be shocked to find out, I'm a smoker...since I was 15, to be exact. Today I started quitting with the help of the electronic cigarette. (Thanks, Lisa, for letting me use yours, and I'm proud of you for quitting!!) The electronic cigarette doesnt contain any chemicals, or crap, they put in a regular cigarette. Its simply nicotene to curb the craving. After 3 weeks, my sister in law quit, and I'm hoping for the same. I'm asking each of you to please pray for me as I start this adventure. My drive is my family. I want to be able to play with my son without being out of breath. I want to be healthy, for myself. I want to start walking again, without being completely out of breath by lap one. I just want to quit...period. With prayer, encouragement and strong will power, I know I can do it.

If anyone wants to research the product I'm using, its called Fifty One. They have a website: smoke51.com.

Thanks for reading. Have a nice weekend!!
